“ During the day while soaking in the 106F natural hot springs at the Charlotte Hot Springs in Buena Vista, we asked a local for his recommendation of his favorite dinner restaurant - he said to try the Surf Hotel restaurant. What a nice quiet friendly place. Our waitress (Faith I believe was he name) was cheerfully attentive. The food was a beautiful work of art and perfectly cooked. Our dessert was Carrot cake; bite after bite reminded me of our custom wedding carrot cake some 40 years ago... all was incredible. We're going back! ”
“ The gnocchi with butternut squash is absolutely delicious!! The waitress suggested crumbing some sausage on top (I was going to add shrimp)and it was a great suggestion. The flavors!! Everyone loved their meals. Waitress was terrific, great atmosphere, accommodating to our baby. We’ve eaten here several times and are never disappointed. Just great food. ”

“ Wow. We were beyond impressed by the atmosphere and food here. Almost everything had a gluten free option and the food was phenomenal. The outside of the hotel and restaurant look like a New Orleans old town hotel and the inside has this cool train station meets mountain vibe that was super inviting to come to. I loved all of the decor, menu designs, and the space. The food was AH-MAZING! My friend is pretty limited on her diet and is gluten free. There were so many really tasty options for her to choose from which was pretty rare. I had the French onion soup and it was easily one of the best I've ever had. We also shared a gluten free Gnocchi and Pizza. Both were for sure "something to write home about". Favorites: French Onion Soup, GF Sage Gnocchi, Pizza, Steak, Au Gratin Potatoes, etc. Parking: Easy street parking for free ”
